Go With The Flow

Go With The Flow

greece stamp

Crossing the Small Cyclades in my inflatable kayak was all about letting go, not about battling the elements to keep to a pre-planned itinerary. The time of departure was determined by the weather, and the direction, by the prevailing winds and currents—as the mighty Poseidon saw fit that day. After all, it’s hard to go wrong when surrounded by idyllic Greek islands. I’m not in the habit of surrendering to the conditions on an expedition, but this felt very liberating in a way, accepting the greater powers that be and simply going with the flow, literally.
