Checking Off The List

This moment had made it onto my bucket list over 16 years ago while planning my first bicycle expedition through Eastern Asia. I had read of another adventurer’s wild tale of having to cross a raging river by ferrying himself across using a pulley cart. I was finally about to partake in this spine-chilling means of transport myself—except that the rusty cable cart in question, was suspended about 200 meters above the river! The only alternative would’ve been to carry our bicycles up and down crazy steep cliffs for hours, so we opted to go the “fast route” instead.

Ahahah Yannick, dis-le ”poule mouillée” que tu préférais les 200 mètres dans les airs plutôt que d’avoir des vêtements trempés par la traversée de la rivière 😛
