Most people can at least understand the lure of the “wild”. Why else would anyone embark on a solo thru-hike of a little-trodden 170-Mile trail? Disconnecting feels so good, there were days where I didn’t see a soul—save the occasional moose or two. Now, spending entire days outside in the rain, that’s a harder sell. But guess what feels really liberating? That critical moment you stop trying to avoid getting your boots wet. When you’re so deep in it—literally—that no muddy puddle gives you the slightest pause in your step. And that… That’s just wild. | ||
