I wasn’t simply giving Angeli a test run to decide if she was the travelling companion I needed, if she could take what I was about to throw at her: 2 weeks of pulling a hundred kilograms of gear through the desert. No, the last few days spent living with this Marwari family, learning the centuries-old techniques of caring for a camel and surviving in the barren environment, were actually more of a trial for me—a rite of passage of sorts. Angeli had a vital role in the family, and I needed to prove myself worthy. | ||

Hey, Yannick. What are you doing in the Thar Desert?
Just needed a little escape from the hectic day to day life… Spent 4 weeks there in December.
Salut Yannick,
Tu as aimé j’imagine?
Take care,
Richard
Love,
Jocelyne
