Carpe Diem

Carpe Diem

Twelve hours earlier, I was at my lowest point of the expedition. After a rough day of climbing along muddy and icy trails, my tent and sleeping bag had tumbled off my bicycle and down an escarpment—at over 2000 meters in altitude, in subzero temperatures, as the sun was setting. I eventually retrieved them but lost the trail and set up camp in the dark, completely exhausted. Now, I lay cozy in my sleeping bag, watching the sunrise over majestic mountains. The first rays warming my tent, signaling a new day brimming with opportunities and wonders to uncover.
