It was around midnight. I focused on their voices to make out each of their approximate position around my tent. I silently crouched forward in a sprinter’s starting position, gripping my axe down on the ground. I had managed to outmaneuver them the entire day, but they had finally found me. The three horse thieves had ridden into my camp a few minutes earlier, whooping and kicking pots around, like a band of Wild West outlaws. They wanted my horse and anything else they could get their hands on. Surprisingly, I wasn’t scared anymore. I was calm and ready. | ||

yeah what happened next??? more detail!!!
Well, it’s a looooong and incredible story, and you’ll have to ask me in person or see my documentary film (coming to a theatre near you in November 2009) to find out the details. But I’ll just say that against all odds, 4 angels came to my rescue, and basically saved my life.
this is great, as are your other posts. i’ve tried to be minimal in many parts of my life… and this is inspiration. thank you!
I’m happy to hear about your trying to be minimal in many parts of your life. It’s a good philosophy I think. I wish more people did. Even though I know I fail miserably in some areas of trying to live minimally, I do what I can to live responsibly.
Tu es un vrai aimant envers toutes les aventures les plus tordues!!! C’est toujours un plaisir de te lire!!!
LOL where do you “fail miserably”? Your excessive consumption of home-made lasagne? 😉
… Anyway, the rest of that story is definitely worth hearing!
LOL 😀 hmmm…Actually, the size of my house (and of my bed): definitely not minimal… And yes, the home-made lasagna too.
