Divide and Conquer

Divide and Conquer

azerbaijan stamp

As I ventured deeper along the novel route that I had devised to cross the little-explored eastern part of the Greater Caucasus Mountains, the conditions became so rough that I began to spend more time pushing than riding my bicycle. To avoid getting discouraged, I quickly stopped thinking about tomorrow. I only focused on today and the 20, 25 or 30 kilometers that I wanted to cover before nightfall. A week later, standing on top of my last pass in Azerbaijan, it occurred to me that I had just accomplished quite a feat, one small step at a time—literally.

On that picture,Your smile is wonderful and contagious Yannick! I am glad you could connect with this old wisdom of being in the present moment. It got you through! Very inspiring.
