The “donkey factor” was my biggest uncertainty while planning my traverse of what the local Berbers call “Idraren Draren”—the Mountains of Mountains—yet I depended entirely on Benji to make it through in complete autonomy. He was in terrible shape when I bought him, but lots of love, care and barley can do miracles. His intelligence, strength, composure, patience, and playfulness left me in awe every day. It astonishes me how strong a relationship we built over these 2 short and unforgettable weeks. Thank you, my quirky friend, for a truly fun and wild ride. | ||
