The driver gestured me to start loading our stuff in. I wasn’t sure we were talking about the same vehicle. I explained to him that there obviously was a mistake; the deal was that we would get a minivan which could, in actual fact, carry all our gear and ourselves out of here. But he assured me that there was plenty of space for the two of us, our bicycles, our bags, and himself. As for the three other confused backpackers already in the car? That wasn’t a problem; after all, our destination was only three hours away.

Haha That’s my favorite shirt for any of my island/tropical destinations. It’s all about the shirt man…Gotta love it 😀

Yeah, amazingly, it all worked worked out in the end. Naturally, we had to have the tire go flat about 30 minutes into the trip, and it wasn’t the most comfortable ride, being 6 adults packed in a small car with all our gear, but hey, it was a memorable experience…

That tire looks in pretty bad shape…… I hope you had some space in the car reserved for equipment to change it.
