Like many Guna children, Ladis was back home on her little island for the holidays. She didn’t want to return to the city, she told us she liked “the wind and the sand here”. Just like the man who had left his peaceful island to earn money by selling touristic trinkets in the busy heart of Panama City. “In Guna Yala” he said, “money has little use, there are no rich or poor, but I want to send my son to university”. Ladis asked us if we could build a school here. Why couldn’t the answer be as simple? | ||
