Respect

Respect

Rarely had I seen people live so long in such harsh conditions. Although there was surely a connection, the fact that they were strictly vegetarian made their survival in this environment all the more impressive. Often, four generations lived harmoniously under the same roof, along with their animals which they treated as family members. As one man explained to me: “I was raised on this buffalo’s milk, my son is now growing up drinking this buffalo’s milk, it is like our mother and we will care for it as such until it dies naturally”. Respect… Could it be that simple?
