The end seemed like it was upon us. The apocalyptic weather had been unrelenting for over two weeks. The few locals that we crossed on this last, forgotten stretch of the Pan-American Highway, had never seen anything like it—yet another climate crisis warning signal, it’s the same story everywhere I go. By the way, “highway” is somewhat of a misnomer, I believe “rocky dirt trail” would be more appropriate. But now the clouds had gone and standing here, at a place which could understandably be mistaken for the edge of the world, the end felt peaceful. | ||

Wowwww, each postcard with those beautiful landscapes makes me feel like if I was in a dream. I have always been fascinated by the color of those lakes. So pure, so perfect. No doubt you found peace and freedom in it. Hope I will assist at this kind of scene someday. Marvellous job.

it’s pictures and stories like these that remind me of how much I am missing out… hopefully one of these days I’ll make it out and about too, wish me luck! 🙂
