Extraordinary

Extraordinary

I had been pushing, pulling and lifting my loaded bicycle along hiking trails, for what was probably the 3 most physically demanding days of my life—and that’s saying a lot. When I finally reached the top of the remote 3,500m pass, it dawned on me that when there are no exit routes and turning back is not an option, the merit of successfully accomplishing something that seems almost impossible in the moment, doesn’t come from actually completing it, but from the decision to start doing it. And that might very well be the key to living an extraordinary life.
