Nomads Land (2009)
(13 min.) Yannick Daoudi and a Mongolian Nomad team up to reach the Tsataan or “Reindeer People” of Northern Mongolia. The two-week horseback expedition takes them through a surreal and timeless place of breathtaking beauty and untouched wilderness.
Hi Yannick!
This has to be one of the best gifts ever. Thank you …what a wonderful film. I loved the music too. I was filled with questions, while watching it, and, also thought frequently of my high school geography teacher, Mrs. Ella Hoy, who developed my interest in the lands and peoples of the world.
Of course that was a gazillion years ago!
I asked Heather to get me the CD of your next leg of the journey.
Are you going away again this holiday season…
If so I wish you a lovely trip. I also send you best wishes for a peaceful and happy, holiday season.
Very best regards,
Wendy
Thanks Wendy, glad you enjoyed this short film. I am indeed leaving again over the holiday season to canoe down the Gambia River in Africa. Can’t wait! More postcards to come upon my return in January hopefully… 🙂
Yannick, I must say iam impressed by your adventurous spirit. Can you imagine traveling the world and only finding good people on it, who never grow old! Rev 21:3,4. When you might ask,,,Matt. 24:14,,,How you should ask! Dan. 2:44 Who can tell you more? Isa. 43:10

I really enjoyed Taiga Quest. Did you have someone filming for you?
We just watched Taiga Quest for the second time on amazon. Love it. May your dreams continue to come true. We hope Fart and Sharman are still living free and happy. We loved the way you talked with them.
Seeing the projects you have accomplished on your website are inspirational to the underpinning of the human spirit.
Really enjoy your humor.
Thank you for your comments and for the support. I had a lot of fun doing this film, and I’m really glad that others can enjoy it. As for Fart and Shaman, I doubt they are still with us now, it’s been 10 years already… I miss them a lot and I certainly owe much to them. As for my conversations with them, as my sole partners for several weeks, they (and the camera) became my only outlet and I naturally spoke to them as I would with any human being. Cheers.
Hello Yannick,
I came by Taiga Quest by chance and found it
profoundly simple but amazing considering todays world and and humanity on the edge. The postacards
are each gems on 100 words and a picture. You are
very talented to describe each adventure
and yet seemingly not make that physical
challange the focus of your travels but the extraordinary beings humans and animal that
we all are. I hope that you continue your
journeys to the far corners of the
world and keep us fascinated in the
process.
